Surface disinfection

Presentation

When an aqueous product, such as paint or latex, biodeteriorates in a tank, the product can be treated with a biocide to clean it up, but if the product is too contaminated, it must be destroyed and in this case the tank must be disinfected. This is similar to surface disinfection.

See in our dictionary "Biocide" and "Biodeterioration".

Surface analysis

MICROTEST B, thanks to the neutralizers contained in the agar which neutralize disinfectants and antiseptics, is the ideal product for surface analysis.

Indeed, it is important to define a strategy for analysing the hygienic quality of the surfaces applied with strictly the same standardised methods, so that monitoring over time can be done with comparable results. The MICROTEST B enumeration method detects and quantifies microorganisms present on surfaces by impression on agar slides. The use of this method generally makes it possible to validate a disinfection operation.

The frequency of sampling ensures that the efficiency of hygiene operations is maintained over time. Their frequency takes into account the type of activity and the area to be sampled. This frequency may be reduced when the results are satisfactory or increased when a procedure is set up or in the event of poor results.

The results obtained, recorded chronologically, should be interpreted in a global way, rather in terms of trend (improving, stable or deteriorating).

Once contamination is detected on the surface, it will be necessary to disinfect it with a disinfectant from our range.
