Throughout the distribution chain for middle distillates: diesel, kerosene and FOD, checks are carried out with the MICROTEST P. When pollution is detected, treatment with the FUELCIDE D1.5 is carried out to eradicate contamination, at a concentration of 3 litres FUELCIDE D1.5 per 10,000 litres .
Storage of diesel fuel at service stations
Micro-organism contamination occurs in diesel tanks at filling stations, causing fuel filters to clog at the pump. After changing the fuel filter, a biocide treatment with FUELCIDE D1.5 is necessary for a concentration of 3 litres/10000 litres of diesel. Petrol is less subject to biocontamination.
Storage of FOD for heating
FOD storage tanks for heating private homes do not escape contamination by microorganisms over time. We also offer FUELCIDE D1.5 in 1 litre kerdose specially adapted to the treatment of heating systems for private individuals.
The long-term preservation of the FOD of heating systems and stationary generators requires regular monitoring by microbiological and chemical analyses:

- Moisture content standards NF ISO 6296, NF EN 12937 which must be less than 200 mg/kg
- Water and sediment content standard : NF ISO 3734 which must be less than 0,10 % (m/m)
Storage of the Non-Road Diesel Fuel (NRF) used for:
- non-road mobile machinery
- mobile generators
- agricultural and forestry tractors
- pleasure craft and inland waterway vessels
We will have to be more vigilant because GNR keeps less well over time than FOD. For a longer storage life, GNR O is preferred, as it does not contain biofuel and therefore has a better resistance to micro-organisms. Only the specifications of GNR that change over time should be checked:

- The standard moisture content NF EN 12937 which must be less than 200 mg/kg
- Total contamination standard: NF EN 12662 which must be less than 24 mg/kg
Micro-organism control
